qamaas role concept
qamaas is separating functional scope and access rights to different roles. All roles must be assigend to users in order to configure a full functional system. Please see the list below to understand the existing roles.
Aviation expert (as mechanics, engineers, planners, etc.)
Aviation Experts are the main entity in qamaas. Everything is desgined to aquire and maintain qualifications and authorizations for each registered Aviation Expert. Aviation Experts have their own login and, depending on the configuration, can manage training, qualifications and authorizations autonomously. Each Aviation Expert is assigned to a superior manager. See some important functions available to aviation experts (if configured).

Manager
A manager is the allocated superior of staff. In qamaas managers have all opportunities to plan, aquire and maintain qualifications and authorizations for their team members and themselves. Managers have a login where it is possible to see team infos and personal data. The available functionality is quite similar to Aviation Experts extended by the option to perform all these steps for team members and plan authorizations.

Training Manager
The training manager is administrating all trainings details as training products and training events. So new products can be created, events planned and staff invited. The training manager has to rights to create authorizations, qualifications or assign any of these to staff.

Quallity Engineer
The Quality Engineer is part of the team of the quality manager and supports in all quality management tasks. Functional scope and access rights are very similar to the Quality Manager. Quality Engineer can create authorizations and qualifications and assign these to training products. Quality Engineers have no rights to manage trainings.

Quality Manager
Quality Manager and Quality Engineer only differ in two points. Quality Manager is team lead of all quality engineers. Also only one Quality Manager exists and is the only person authorized to issue authorization to staff. Anyway also Quality Manager are not permitted to manage trainings

HR Manager
HR Manager is holding a support role. HR Manager are able to maintain staff master data assuring only relevant staff is shown to other roles and organizing teams and departments. Within the "complex" process of issueing authorizations the HR Manager has to confirm in first step that sufficient budget for a higher qualified staff is availale.

IT Manager
IT Manager is the official holder of the qamaas account and manages the qamaas subscription. In case the subscription is expiring only the account of the IT Manager will kept activiated in order to access historic data and reactivate subscription if needed. IT Manager have no other rights in terms of authorization and training management

Trainer
Trainers are the persons teaching content during a training event. Each user can be marked as trainer. As soon they are marked it is possible to assign trainer to training events. Trainers can access additional tiles and menus within their existing staff login informing about previous and upcoming trainings.

- Manage participant lists
Managed Identities
Managed Identities are staff members with no existing qamaas account. Managed Identities can be managed as participants in trainings. They can be invited and are counted as full member of a training. Users marked as managed identiy can not be managed in terms of authorizations and qualifications. A personal login is not possible. The number of available Managed Identities is depending on the selected subscription plan and is a multiple of the number of paid users.
Based on the chosen subscription plan roles can be assigned to more or less users.
